There was a great turn out for the September Final Friday event at the 739 Mass
Street Flash Space with an estimated 1,000-1,300 in attendance. Tom King from
Review Magazine did a brief review highlighting the b.a.l.m. anthropoi Exhibition
and curation. The show exhibited 18 artists including Ben Ahlvers, Rob Allen,
TR Ericsson, Jason T. Clark, Larry Graeber, Duane Hilburn, Akiko Jackson,
Lacey Lewis, Don Lisy, Jung Hee Mun, Dave Root, Nicolette Ross, Frank Shopen,
Betsy Timmer, Dave Van Hee, GF Sam Wagner, Jay Walker and Shannon White
and last minute addition Erok Johanssen.
As a bonus editor of Lawrence Magazine, Nathan Pettengill, invited multiple art
collectives and groups to participate in a thematic collaborative interpretive
project for the Fall edition of the magazine, and display and Jason Dailey
photographed the work during the opening. Included in the exhibition were
Fresh Produce Collective/… art gallery, the Percolator group/gallery,
Astroid Heads/Wonderfair Space, the Spencer Museum of Art
student collective, and a group of artists representing b.a.l.m.
