about
b.a.l.m. (beauty, art & life movement) is a regional artists’ group and organization that welcomes artists of all disciplines. We began seeking artistic community and were amazed at the others who were seeking the same thing. Our goal is to provide a forum that centers around art and friendship, where everyone’s contribution and creativity are valued. Our gatherings are celebrations that include art, creative food, whimsically themed activities, conversations and informal shows. We have discovered depth in the contexts of honest conversations and real relationships that have taken root. Our focus is on encouraging community that provokes each other to greater creativity, innovation, and excellence. There is great benefit from sharing the artistic journey together.
We seek to offer a context for all manner of questions, and the conversations that follow around art, life, and the relationships between beauty, goodness, and truth. We invite discussions about how living these questions works out practically in the world today. We believe that artistic communication that flows from an integrated life is life-giving to our culture, our communities and ourselves.
b.a.l.m. does not require membership, and is open to all who are interested. Please let Darin or Shannon know if you are interested in attending a gathering, sharing ideas, or hosting a balm show at this e mail address.
we meet for weekly SUNDAY BRUNCH 10am-12pm and hold monthly gatherings 7-10 usually on the second Saturday of each month.
